This is a home we designed and won 1st place, Best of Show, and The Designers Choice Award with the Texas Institute of Building Design last June. We are building this home with ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) which will make this a very energy efficient home. In the future, new homes are going to have to qualify with this level of thermal efficiency in order to cut down on power consumption. The design of this home came about because of the amazing views of this 7 acre hilltop lot that we selected for our build in the Texas Hill Country just outside of Austin TX. The ICF walls as well as the foundation were a complicated pour with all of the various details.
