Vintage Modern Design Build is a Luxury home building /   Luxury Kitchen & Bathroom remodeling contractor in Austin Tx with an in house team capable of designing, rendering, and constructing your projects from site prep through finish carpentry.  While we specialize in  luxury kitchen and bathroom remodeling, we are also building homes of the future.

There are plenty of builders and Architects in Austin Tx that have a broad range of styles.  When it comes to home building and room additions, we like to focus on Mid Century Modern / Eichler inspired, brutalist modern,  and ultra modern architecture.  We do take on projects involving other architectural styles that we also enjoy.  We just won First place, best of show, and the designers choice award with the Texas Institute of Building Design. This is  for the home pictured in the first set of photos.

This is the perfect example of a Net Zero Luxury Home / homestead . We constructed this home using ICF  (Insulated Concrete Forms) with poured concrete walls.  There are two wood burning fireplaces.


This property will eventually be a completely off grid homestead.We plan on mounting our solar array on the top of the building in the background.

We used Monopoly Framing techniques to build this shop.  This created a completely tight envelope with a completely unbroken layer of insulation on the exterior.  The roof has 2 – 2 inch layers of poly iso in between the layers of zip board.  This in essence is creating our own SIPS panels.  The grey stucco area in the picture below houses a 10,000 gallon water tank.
