Minimalist Modern Bathroom Remodeling Project in New Home
This is a minimalist modern bathroom remodeling project in a new ICF home we are building in Austin TX. We recessed a channel around the perimeter of the shower which is sloped to the shower drain prior to poring the slab. The center of the shower was also sloped to the drain of the shower when we poured the slab. The floor is Montauk slate ( Gaged and rectified). The walls in the bathroom are done in honed Thassos marble which comes from Greece with Watermark fixtures. The window wall is Fireclay tile Sunburst which is hand painted. The partial wall near the tub is a planter box with pen lights which will illuminate the plants at night. There is also a sauna in this bathroom. The rocks filling the channel are marble. We saw this in some pictures of some Asian Minimalist modern bathrooms that we liked.
