Eichler Inspired Mid Century Modern New Home Build in Austin TX

This Eichler Home inspired Mid Century Modern new home build in Austin Texas was a collaboration with BRB. BRB built the structure and did majority of the exterior and Vintage Modern Design Build did the design and finish work on the inside of the home.

Instead of their fixtures above the builder style mirrors, we opted for the LED mirrors because they are more functional and modern.

For the floor of the bathroom we used a hand painted cement tile. In the shower we eliminated the free standing tub and went for a large walk in shower. We installed the thermostatic valves and shampoo niches so that they would not be visible from the outside. This custom walk in shower is 40 square feet. We also went with a free floating bench. The shower walls are tiled with large format Crystal, which consists of crushed quartz under glass. The shower pan tile is a black hexagon with warm grey grout.
In the kitchen we installed custom milled shaker cabinets. We used hand made boutique elongated bar tile for the main backsplash. We used a white Caesarstone style quartz on the countertops and did waterfall edges on the island , because it is a must for modern style kitchen remodels. The floors throughout most of the home are done in hand scraped acacia wood.

For the master bedroom and master closet we installed vein cut limestone in a 12 x 24 size.
