Travertine Bathroom Remodeling Project in Austin Tx
This is a bathroom remodeling project that we just completed in Austin Tx. The homeowners live in a nice large home and the original shower and tub were made of cultured marble as well as the counter top.
For this particular remodeling project, they wanted to keep the same basic bathroom footprint, but wanted to have a larger shower with some nicer materials. We kept the existing tile that was used in the bathroom and went with a walnut colored travertine for the shower walls and tub backsplash. We used a darker brown granite for the new vanity counters as well as the tub deck and shower curb. The fixtures were all changed to oil rubbed bronze.
The shower we brought all the way out to the edge of their closet door and we had that tie in directly with the tub deck. Oil rubbed bronze flour deccos were used at eye level and on the face of the tub deck to tie in with the darker color of the granite. Instead of using granite for a backsplash on the counters, we used the walnut travertine. Take a look at the pictures below to see how this bathroom remodeling project in Austin Tx turned out.
