Victorian Modern Transitional Tub to Shower conversion Bathroom Remodeling Project in Austin Tx
This is a Victorian Modern Transitional bathroom remodeling project in Austin Tx. We eliminated a shower / tub insert and created a nice large shower. We added a seat and channel drain on one end. This bathroom remodel / shower renovation is just the hall bathroom. We remodeled the entire home that we renovated in a Danish modern style.
We decided to go with elongated subway tiles in a stacked joint pattern to give it a modern touch. The shower pan is done in a victorian style daisy patterned hexagon tile in grey. The curb and seat are done in an Italian porcelain tile which mimics the look of concrete.
The vanity has shaker style doors with a polished concrete quartz countertop. We replaced all of the plumbing fixtures in this bathroom remodel as well as all of the light fixtures and fan. We added a light above the shower. I used Schluter to frame in the outside edges. Our waterproofing method for both of the bathrooms in this austin home was hot mopping in which they use hot tar to create waterproof shower pan and seat.
