This is a failed shower we encountered when remodeling this bathroom in Austin TX.  There was standing water under the shower pan and the homeowners were getting sick from the mold.  This is a common problem in Austin TX because most contractors do not install the shower pan properly.  They neglect doing a preslope under the membrane, which results in standing water and lack of drainage.
